Do you feel like you are teetering on the edge of illness?
Have trouble getting out of bed in the morning?
Feeling bloated all the time and having trouble losing weight?
Does it take forever to get over a cold?
These can be signs that your body is under constant stress which could put you on a path for far more serious conditions like autoimmune diseases like Hashimoto’s, diabetes, psoriasis, lupus, or multiple sclerosis.
But don’t freak! I’m going to share some ways for you to protect yourself against autoimmune conditions and ways to help you heal if you already have them!
It’s time to get your energy back and take back your life! At our practice, I’ve helped hundreds of patients do just that and my goal is to help you because I’ve been when you are when I was diagnosed 10 years ago and I didn’t know where to turn for help.
✅ Deal With Your Stress ASAP
Everyone says that stress is the number one cause of illness – but no one explains why! It has to do with your hormonal balance AND the effect of stress on your food choices. When you’re constantly stressed, your adrenal glands get overworked and have to make extra cortisol and adrenaline which should naturally shut off. Persistently high levels of these two stress hormones put your immune system on high alert! Being stressed also makes you crave sweet, salty, and fatty foods (mainly made from the wrong kinds of fats) which can mean trouble to your gut health. Fatty can be good if it’s good fats like olive oil, but chances are you’re not noshing on olives when you are stressed!
✅ Get Tested!!
See if you have any stealth infections – from viruses such as Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), hepatitis C, harmful E. coli bacteria, or other pathogens – because those spell out trouble for your immune system. Also, get your digestive tract checked for dysbiosis and SIBO… because those contribute to autoimmune issues. In my practice, I also test for cortisol levels so we know exactly how stress has affected your body. Once we get the cortisol and other stress hormones back to their normal levels with natural protocols, the immune system will also start to come back into balance.
✅ Adopt a Detox Lifestyle
Our food and environment are the MOST toxic it’s ever been in the history of humanity. Many people are carrying a toxic load way more than they can carry!! In part, they are likely not releasing the toxins (because they don’t realize that’s part of the reason they feel so crappy). From heavy metals, water, and air pollution, TONS of toxic things in our foods, and BPA in our plastic water bottles and food containers, poisonous substances in our make-up and cleaning products, it’s no wonder people feel awful. Start with your food, and go organic. Take up a plant-based diet, most people start to see benefits within a week.

Make the decision to remove one of these toxins from your life so that you can start healing.
What is ONE thing you are going to do today that will start the process?
